Health and safety is part of how Steel Structures manages manufacturing and structural steelwork operations. The workforce holds relevant qualifications for their roles, including CSR cards, manual handling, overhead gantry crane operation and IPAF certification where applicable. Management competence includes SMSTS, NEBOSH Construction Health and Safety and IOSH qualifications.
Our in-house Appointed Person coordinates project-specific risk assessments, method statements and lifting plans with the main contractor's health and safety team. Constructionline Gold and Once For All SSIP support supply-chain checks.
Insurance cover is employers' liability £10 million, public liability £10 million, products liability £10 million and professional indemnity £5 million.
Local builders
For a supply-only beam the paperwork is lighter. Where erection is included, we prepare the assessments and method statements for that site.
